Bio

Christopher Marynowski enters his first season as head coach of the Kodiaks League of Legends team in 2025-26. Although this marks his first year coaching at the collegiate level, Marynowski brings valuable experience mentoring individual players and competing in high-level tournaments. His focus is on building a strong team culture rooted in discipline, communication, and a commitment to excellence both in and out of the game.

A native of Magrath, Alberta, Marynowski has been competing in League of Legends for more than four years. He began playing competitively in high school and has since represented Magrath High School, Lethbridge Polytechnic, and several online organizations in various leagues. Over the past three competitive seasons, he has earned multiple accolades, including two MVP awards and a program-specific recognition for his play with Lethbridge Polytechnic. Most recently, he helped lead the Kodiaks to a second-place finish, earning a team trophy for their performance.

Now a third-year student at Lethbridge Polytechnic, Marynowski is completing his studies in the Computer Information Technology program. His connection to the institution runs deep, having spent the last several years as both a student and player. When the opportunity arose to take over the League of Legends program following the previous coach’s departure, Marynowski was eager to step in and continue the team’s legacy.

Though new to coaching, Marynowski is committed to continuing the strong culture established within the Kodiaks Esports program. His approach emphasizes teamwork, preparation, and steady improvement throughout the season.

“I want to continue the current culture of excellence, whether that’s in the classroom or in competition, and uphold the legacy of the Kodiaks.”
