The Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks soccer teams are back in action this weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 27, the teams travel to Calgary to take in the Ambrose University Lions.
Women's soccer

The Kodiaks women’s soccer team will look to pick up a win on the road this weekend. After going toe to toe with the nationally ranked SAIT team and winning against the Augustana Vikings, their spirits are high. Kiara Janowiak (third year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) has been a standout for the team. She was recently named Kodiaks student-athlete of the week and moved up to the number three spot for save percentage at 0.867. The team will also look to their veteran players to run the offence and keep getting points on the board.

The Kodiaks men’s soccer team will aim to create some separation in the standings this weekend as they hit the road, holding the edge in a tight race thanks to their strong defensive record. First-year student Lazlo Lorenzo (General Arts and Science, Nelson, B.C.) has been huge on defence for the team, earning player of the match against a strong SAIT team in their last game. Alex Moroszczuk (second year, Electrician Apprenticeship, Edmonton) will look to continue his point streak having, at least one goal or assist in every match.
