Basketball
WBB Kodiaks (2-4) vs LAKE Rustlers (0-6)
Friday, Nov. 14 | 6 p.m. | Val Matteotti Gymnasium
WBB Kodiaks (2-4) vs KC Huskies (5-1)
Saturday, Nov. 15 | 6 p.m. | Val Matteotti Gymnasium
After splitting last weekend's series with SAIT that featured a gritty road win powered by composure from Chase Wells-Creighton (second year, Exercise Science, Standoff), shot-making from Summer Long (first year, General Arts and Science, Raymond), leadership from Gaby Power (fourth year, Early Childhood Education, Calgary) and all-around efforts, the Kodiaks return home looking to continue the momentum.
Tomorrow brings a matchup with last-place Lakeland, who are winless at 0–6. The Rustlers have struggled early, giving the Kodiaks a key chance to secure points in a tight South Division race.
Saturday raises the difficulty level as the Kodiaks face Keyano, second in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) North Division and one of the strongest defensive teams in the conference. To compete, Lethbridge will rely on their ability to stay consistent until the final buzzer.
MBB Kodiaks (4–2) vs LAKE Rustlers (5–1)
Friday, Nov. 14 | 8 p.m. | Val Matteotti Gymnasium
MBB Kodiaks (4–2) vs KC Huskies (6–0)
Saturday, Nov. 15 | 8 p.m. | Val Matteotti Gymnasium
The Kodiaks men's basketball team sits third in the ACAC South at 4–2, coming off losses to a nationally ranked SAIT team but showing strong stretches from standouts like Levi Balderson (second year, General Arts and Science, Welling), Marley Kenion (first year, Child and Youth Care, Coventry, England), Nathaniel Hosannah (second year, Business Administration, Tacoma, Wash.) and Cole Lake (fifth year, Business Administration, Eagle, Idaho).
Tomorrow's matchup against Lakeland features two teams tied for third in their respective divisions. The Rustlers bring scoring depth, so Lethbridge's defensive consistency and rebounding will be key.
Saturday is one of the biggest home games of the year as the Kodiaks meet undefeated Keyano, the top team in the ACAC North and ranked seventh nationally. To challenge Keyano, the Kodiaks will need offensive rhythm from Balderson and Kenion, steady playmaking from Lake, and continued scoring balance from Treydon Barton (fourth year, General Arts and Science, Raymond), Randall Mongard (first year, Open Studies, Laval, Que.), Rhett Lewis (third year, General Arts and Science, Cardston) and Zachary English (first year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) off the bench.
Volleyball
WVB Kodiaks (1-5) at KC Huskies (1-3)
Saturday, Nov. 15 | 6 p.m. | Keyano College
The Kodiaks women's volleyball team makes the long trip north this weekend in search of a reset and a statement win. Lethbridge enters the matchup at 1–4, but the record doesn't tell the full story as last weekend featured stretches of confident, aggressive volleyball led by the team's emerging core.
Veteran outside Robyn Austin (second year, Business Administration, Lethbridge) continues to power the attack with terminal swings and steady serve-receive. Setter Reese Hanusich (fourth year, General Arts and Science, Red Deer) remains the engine of the offence, distributing with veteran composure and libero Quincy Price (third year, General Arts and Science, Coaldale) anchors the defence with reliable first contacts.
Keyano, sitting at 1–3 and near the bottom of the ACAC North, presents an opportunity for the Kodiaks to regain traction. Lethbridge will look to build on the energy and consistency shown late in last weekend's matches as they push for a much-needed road result and momentum heading into the next phase of their season.
MVB Kodiaks (5-0) at LAKE Rustlers (0-4)
Friday, Nov. 14 | 6 p.m. | Lakeland College
MVB Kodiaks (5-0) at KC Huskies (4-0)
Saturday, Nov. 15 | 8 p.m. | Keyano College
The undefeated Kodiaks men's volleyball team sits first in the ACAC South at 5–0, coming off two strong road wins over SAIT highlighted by elite hitting percentages, balanced offensive distribution and standout performances from Cameron Marshall (third year, Criminal Justice – Policing, Adelaide, South Australia), Ben Dyck (third year, Agricultural Sciences, Coaldale), Corny Bergen (first year, Business Administration, Picture Butte), and Kodiaks athlete of the week Tristan Iwanczuk (first year, Business Administration, Lethbridge).
Tomorrow's matchup brings a unique challenge against Lakeland, who are returning from suspension and sit at 0–4. Despite their record, the Rustlers will be eager to re-establish their form.
Saturday features a marquee cross-division clash as Lethbridge meets Keyano, the top team in the ACAC North at 4–0. With both teams undefeated, this matchup will test the Kodiaks' depth, serving pressure and offensive efficiency against a Huskies squad known for physicality and defensive resilience.
