Chase-Wells Creighton (second year, Exercise Science, Standoff) played a pivotal role for the Kodiaks women’s basketball team in their weekend series against the SAIT Trojans, delivering consistent leadership and clutch performances on both ends of the court. On Friday, Wells Creighton set the tone with strong drives, confident shooting, and composure at the free-throw line, keeping Lethbridge within striking distance throughout. She followed that up with a standout performance on Saturday, earning ACAC Player of the Game honours after coming through in key moments. Her calm presence late in the fourth quarter helped secure a 61–58 upset victory, as she hit crucial free throws and anchored the Kodiaks’ defence down the stretch. Wells Creighton’s poise, intensity, and all-around play were instrumental in helping the Kodiaks earn their second win of the season.
Tristan Iwanczuk (first year, Business Administration, Lethbridge) made a strong impression for the Kodiaks men’s volleyball team in their dominant weekend sweep of the SAIT Trojans. Iwanczuk brought steady energy and precision to the attack, contributing four kills and an ace in Friday’s straight-sets win to earn ACAC Player of the Match honours. He carried that momentum into Saturday’s four-set victory, where he added seven kills and two blocks in an efficient all-around effort. His reliability on both offence and defence provided a key spark for the Kodiaks as they extended their winning streak. Iwanczuk’s composed play and ability to deliver in pressure moments highlight his potential as one of the team’s rising first-year standouts.
