Paityn Lake (first year, Business Administration – Accounting, Nelson, B.C.) Lake was a defensive anchor for the Kodiaks women’s soccer team, showcasing composure and excellence in goal across both weekend matches. On Saturday against Medicine Hat College, she delivered a stellar performance and kept her team within reach in a narrow 1–0 defeat which earned her ACAC Player of the Match recognition. Lake followed that up with a composed effort on Sunday versus Ambrose University, posting a clean sheet in a dominant 6–0 victory. Her consistency, communication, and timely saves provided the backbone of the Kodiaks’ strong defensive showing.
Moe Huska (first year, General Arts and Science – Kinesiology Certificate, Cranbrook, B.C.) Huska had a standout weekend for the Kodiaks men’s soccer team in back-to-back matches. On Saturday against Medicine Hat College Huska’s relentless offensive effort paid off as he scored a late goal, capping off a gritty performance that earned him ACAC Player of the Match honours.
