Morrison and Van Den Hoek Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Megan Morrison (fifth year, Bachelor of Nursing, Medicine Hat) Morrison had an outstanding weekend for the Kodiaks women’s soccer team, scoring three goals across two matches. She opened the scoring with a stunning goal in a 2–1 victory over the RDP Queens, setting the tone for a strong team performance. Morrison carried that momentum into Sunday’s match against the Olds Broncos, finding the back of the net within the first five minutes and adding another later in the game. Her clinical finishing and relentless offensive pressure made her a constant threat. For her efforts, Morrison was named ACAC Player of the Match against the Olds Broncos.

Conner Van Den Hoek (third year, Business Administration - Management, Fort Macleod) delivered an impressive performance for the Kodiaks men’s cross-country team at the ACAC Running Room Grand Prix #4, held over the weekend. Racing in a highly competitive 8-kilometre field, he emerged as the team’s top runner, finishing sixth overall with a strong time of 29:25. His strategic pacing and determination throughout the race set the tone for the rest of the squad as they finished second overall in the team standings.
