Jankowiak and Pares Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

The Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Khloe and Cristobal Jacob on their selections.

Khloe Jankowiak (third year, Business Administration – Accounting, Lethbridge) was a key contributor for the Kodiaks women’s futsal team throughout the opening South Regional tournament, playing an important role in all three matches against strong ACAC opposition. Jankowiak provided a consistent offensive presence over the weekend, highlighted by a three-goal performance against the host Medicine Hat College Rattlers in the Kodiaks’ opening match. Beyond her scoring, she helped set the tone for the group with her competitiveness and work rate, contributing at both ends of the court. 

Cristobal Jacob Pares (Civil Engineering Technology, Nelson, B.C.) was a central figure for the Kodiaks men’s futsal team as they completed the South Regional tournament with a 2–1 record. Pares was a consistent offensive threat throughout the weekend, leading the team with four goals across three matches, including multi-goal performances against both Medicine Hat College and Olds College. Beyond his scoring contributions, Pares’ composure in possession and accurate distribution played a key role in the Kodiaks’ attacking build-up, creating additional scoring opportunities for his teammates. His influence in the middle of the court was evident in each match, helping the Kodiaks maintain pressure and control during a strong opening regional performance.
