Megan Morrison (fifth year, Bachelor of Nursing, Medicine Hat) from the women’s soccer team capped off an incredible Kodiaks career with a standout month on the pitch. Competing in her final season after five years of collegiate play, Morrison showcased leadership and consistency as team captain, guiding the women’s soccer team to the ACAC playoffs. The veteran midfielder was named an ACAC All-Conference selection after scoring six goals in seven October matches, demonstrating her scoring touch and playmaking ability in crucial moments. Though the Kodiaks’ playoff run ended in the quarterfinals, Morrison’s impact as a leader and her dedication to the program have left a lasting legacy.
Ethan Grasmeyer (third year, Conservation Enforcement – Bachelor of Applied Science, Smithers, B.C.)of the men’s cross-country team delivered a remarkable performance at the ACAC Cross Country Championships, earning All-Conference honours with a personal-best time of 27:30 over the 8-kilometre course. Grasmeyer’s fourth-place finish was instrumental in leading the Kodiaks men’s team to a second-place overall standing, securing their qualification for the CCAA National Championships hosted by Holland College in Prince Edward Island. His determination and consistency throughout this month have established him as a key contributor and leader within the program.
