Ind Track | Kodiaks continue improvement at Panda Open

Feb. 12, 2019 - The Kodiaks Indoor Track team continued their season last weekend, travelling to Edmonton to compete in the Panda Open. The event included top runners from USports, and the stiff competition propelled many Kodiaks athletes to new personal best achievements.

In the endurance events, Tyler Larkin, Danny Robdrup, Rebecca Sweeney, and Vildana Rekic all ran personal best times. Brooklyn Vogel, who specializes in the middle distance events, also ran personal best times in both the 600m and 1000m event.

On the sprint side, Foster Isiche competed well against some of Canada West’s fastest sprinters. The Justice Studies student from Kenya qualified for the elimination rounds, running a new personal best of 7:29 for the 60m event.
